The history of the house
For 110 years, the hotel had been owned by the same founding family, which then in 2019 placed the hotel management age-related into our hands. 18 big rooms with many stories await you. During our reconstruction, we held it in high regard to cautiously combine tradition with modernity. This includes junior suites with an installed kitchen or the family suite with a card table. In our new “Bike house” our guest´s bikes are safely parked and on our sun terrace awaits a fresh coffee for you.
The history of the name “Glückauf”
Around 1908 coal-fired steamships brought tourists as well as material to Sellin and Binz via Stralsund and Thiessow and landed here on the new piers. One of the boats was called “Glückauf”, which together with other ships made the building of new hotels and restaurants possible and expanded the base for tourism. Therefore, it was obvious that the “Glückauf” would be the namesake for the hotel “Glückauf”.

Use our special service in our house. To get everything out of the way for a perfect vacation at the Baltic Sea, we have parking spots in our underground garage for 10,- € a day just for you. A reservation beforehand is recommended due to their limitation! If the parking spots are fully occupied, we can offer you a parking card for 5,- € per day for the central car park approx. 700m away. We´ll gladly help you! Additionally, you can park your brought bikes in our garage. Moreover, free wifi is available for you at all times.
